Starting Tuesday, September 1, the Summerland Landfill will accept fridges and freezers free of charge during regular open hours. Residents and contractors are asked to speak with a landfill attendant before unloading.

Please note:
• Fridges and freezers must be completely emptied before being brought to the landfill.
• No other large appliances or metal items will be accepted until the landfill fully reopens.
• Garbage is not currently accepted at the Summerland Landfill due to active fires on site.
• The Campbell Mountain Landfill in Penticton remains the closest landfill accepting garbage at this time.

• Residential paper and packaging
