Budget and 5-Year Financial Plan
The District is inviting all residents to attend the 2026 Budget Open House on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the Summerland Arena Banquet Room (8820 Jubilee Road East). Doors will open from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. There will be a presentation at 6:00 pm, which will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
The proposed 2026 property tax increase of 6.36% would see an average assessed single-family home in Summerland pay $135.52 more in taxes than they did in 2025. An average assessed business would pay $161.61 more in taxes than it did in 2025.
Council will consider public feedback to the proposed budgets and debate the 2026 property tax bylaw at the February 10, 2026 regular council meeting. Any members of the public wishing to provide feedback are encouraged to send their comments to: budget@summerland.ca.
