If your fridge or freezer was damaged as a result of the Bald Range Wildfire, please 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟓. The District of Summerland will provide a free drop-off location for affected residents.
📅 From Tuesday, August 25 to Saturday, August 29, 2026
📍 Dale Meadows Sportfield – Gravel Parking Lot
A recycling company will collect the appliances from the drop-off location and take them away.
Before bringing your appliance to the drop-off location, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐝. All food waste, debris and other contents must be removed before the appliance can be accepted for recycling.
