An upgrade of the pressure reducing valve station located at the corner of Solly Road and Latimer Avenue has been underway since early March and is nearing completion. The project consisted of the removal and decommissioning of the old underground station in favour of a new, above-ground kiosk.
The new station supplies water to approximately 450 properties in the Lower Town neighbourhood and will allow for safer staff access (as per WorkSafeBC regulation) as well as increased reliability and fire flow.
