The boil water notice issued earlier today has now been rescinded. Domestic water within the Summerland distribution system is rated as “GOOD” and is safe to consume.
👉 Late this morning, a vital piece of equipment on the coagulant injection system at the Water Treatment Plant failed, temporarily stopping the flow of coagulant to the process
👉 Staff were prepared with a replacement mechanism, and the issue was repaired quickly
👉 Interior Health has now provided the all-clear
👉 At no point was disinfection through chlorine injection ever compromised
