Wildfire Risk Reduction work continues through our Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan

They will be very active in the area above the Trappers neighbourhood, where we are currently conducting fire mitigation and fuel reduction work on Crown lands, covering approximately 110 hectares.

As part of the Wildfire Risk Reduction, they will be pruning, thinning, tree falling, brushing, grazing, debris management (e.g. pile and burning) and/or reforestation.

People in and around the area can expect chainsaw running and pile burning taking place. This work will continue until April 15, 2026.
