Good news, Summerland residents! The Summerland Landfill now offers food scraps compost for sale. Bring your own shovel to fill bags or your vehicle during regular landfill hours.
đ Large volume sales: A loader can fill your vehicle or trailer between 9 AM and noon on weekdays (except statutory holidays).
We create two types of Class A compost:
đ Food scraps compost – made from residential food scraps
đ§ Biosolids compost – made from wastewater treatment plant sludge
Each compost type is sold at different prices.
Plus, we also offer Topdressing: a mix of 50% biosolids compost and 50% sandy soil, perfect for lawns and gardens! đŋ
