District of Summerland Facility Closures - COVID-19

Council Meeting update - revised

As we balance the need to keep the business of the District moving, and most importantly, ensure we are not putting people at risk, open meetings of Council will be held with limited public access to Council Chambers.

For our upcoming March 23rd Council Meeting, the District will:

  • defer all items requiring public attendance specific to an agenda item;
  • record and post all open meetings of Council for the public within 24hrs to www.summerland.ca;
  • continue to encourage residents to submit written correspondence to Council through email or through email to corporateofficer@summerland.ca or through the mail slot at Municipal Hall, 13211 Henry Ave.

For the Council meeting to proceed, only a certain number of people will be permitted to ensure social distancing is practiced and those in attendance are not exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

Reminders

  • Wash your hands
  • Sneeze or cough into your sleeve
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Practice social distancing
