Earthwork Permit
If you need to move, add or remove earth from your property you may require an Earthwork Permit.  Please read the Earthwork Control bylaw below to determine whether this applies to your situation.  If it does, please print and submit completed application form via email to works@summerland.ca.

Electrical Utility Service Request
An Electrical Utility Service Request is required for the following services:
- temporary service
- new service installation
- service upgrade
- subdivision works
- disconnection and/or reconnection at electrical meter, pole, or mast
- service removal
- rental light removal

Applicants may schedule an appointment to meet with one of our Engineering Technicians to complete the required form by calling 250-494-0431 or by emailing works@summerland.ca

If you are have work planned and require a road, laneway, road shoulder, sidewalk or parking stall to be closed either to perform work or are planning to work on the side of the roador on a road, sidewalk

Water and/or Sewer Utility Service Request
A Water and/or Sewer Utility Service Request is required for the following services:

Domestic Water
- new service
- removal of service
- change to service size
- pit meter installation
- water system modelling

Irrigation Water
- new service
- removal of service
- change to service size
- change to arable acreage size

Sanitary Sewer
- new service
- modification to service
- sanitary sewer system modelling

Seasonal Water Service
- removal of service

Other Water Related Application forms

Irrigation Customers
The Works Division will begin turning on irrigation services the week of April 13, 2026.  Irrigators who wish to have their irrigation turned on prior to this date will be required to complete an Advance Irrigation application form (below) and pay $65.81 plus GST ($69.10 total) per property.  Please submit completed application form along with payment to the Cashier at Municipal Hall, 13211 Henry Avenue, 8:15am to 5:00pm Tuesday to Friday.  Payment may be made by cash, cheque, debit or credit card.

Special Permit to Water freshly seeded lawn or new sod
If you have freshly seeded your lawn or have laid new sod and need to water on your non-watering days, please print and complete the Water Restriction Bylaw - Special Permit application below and submit form via email to works@summerland.ca.
