The James and Mary Gartrell Trail Restoration Project will be starting Monday, November 6 and is anticipated to be completed by the end of November. The restoration work will bring the pathway back to a reasonable restoration level which was originally damaged from high lake level events, most recently in 2021. The District has procured Cabin Operations Ltd. to undertake the work and the project will be monitored by TRUE Consulting, the District's Qualified Environmental Professional. Some restoration of the trail will include minor brushing within the limits of the trail, rock bordering in necessary areas, replacing kick rails on the existing footbridge, replacing border boards as needed, full reconstruction in compromised locations along the pathway, and removal/replacement of base and finish materials.
