The District of Summerland currently has openings on two committees: the Board of Variance and the Water Advisory Committee. The Board of Variance meets only when required to make decisions on minor development variance applications where compliance with regulations would cause undue hardship. The Water Advisory Committee makes recommendations to Council regarding water issues – including the upcoming review of the Water Master Plan, Water Emergency Response Policy, and the Drought Management Plan.
Applications are available at www.summerland.ca/your-city-hall/committees (or at Municipal Hall) and must be submitted to corporateofficer@summerland.ca by October 1, 2021. Council will review all applications and decide on appointments.
