Members of Council gathered this morning to celebrate the official groundbreaking of Victoria Road Phase 2 — marking the start of construction on this important community infrastructure project.

The total budget is $3,881,000, including:

• $1,500,000 in Grant Funding from British Columbia Investment Agriculture Foundation (IAF) for watermain upgrades.
• $500,000 from B.C. Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants Program for the multi-use pathway installation.
• $31,000 from ICBC for pedestrian safety upgrades.
