We’re making great progress on the Wharton Street upgrades! Here’s where things stand:
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫:
All underground electrical and communications works along Wharton Street (Kelly → Victoria) are done.
Storm, water, and sanitary system improvements complete.
Structural soils and Soil Cells installed to support existing and new trees.
The Cenotaph has been carefully dismantled and rebuilt in its new location.
Watermain and electrical work in the alley parallel to Victoria completed.
Paving of Wharton Street and Kelly Avenue completed.
Main Street/Victoria Road intersection is now open for public use.

• Wharton Street surface works and landscaping (Kelly → Victoria)
• Henry Avenue underground works
• Electrical work east of Kelly Avenue (Wharton & Smith Streets)
𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬:
• Continue electrical works east of Kelly and on Smith Street
• Prepare for washroom building on Henry Avenue
• Landscaping and surface finishing on Henry Avenue
𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
Work is currently a few weeks behind schedule due to unforeseen underground conflicts, but crews are working hard to complete the area around the Cenotaph before Remembrance Day (November 11).
