Good news, Summerland residents! The 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 now offers food scraps compost for sale. Bring your own shovel to fill bags or your vehicle during regular landfill hours.
𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬: A loader can fill your vehicle or trailer between 9 AM and noon on weekdays (except statutory holidays).
We create two types of Class A compost:
Food scraps compost – made from residential food scraps
Biosolids compost – made from wastewater treatment plant sludge
Each compost type is sold at different prices.
Plus, we also offer 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠: a mix of 50% biosolids compost and 50% sandy soil, perfect for lawns and gardens!
