Please be advised that water service will be temporarily shut off in the downtown area (see attached map for affected properties) on Thursday, August 21 from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
The outage is necessary to complete the tie-in of the new water main along Victoria Road. The existing water main is approaching the end of its service life and is being replaced to support future growth and ensure a safe, reliable water system for years to come.
For properties affected by the service disruption:
- Ensure that you have plenty of potable water for the outage.
- To use your flush toilet during the outage, fill a bathtub with water prior to the outage and bucket water into the top tank of the toilet after each use.
- After completion of this work, it may be necessary to run your cold water taps for a few minutes to clear and flush your line.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact:
- Brad Cruickshank (Site Superintendent) at (250)-808-8043
- Dave Boyal (Project Manager) at (778)-581-7711
