Help Us Conserve Water!

Due to low snowpack, minimal rainfall, and early draw from our reservoirs, the District of Summerland is asking residents to voluntarily reduce water use, especially for outdoor irrigation.

We’re currently at 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐 drought status, and neighboring areas are already at Level 3. Now’s the time to act—before restrictions become mandatory.

Here’s how you can help:
✅For even numbered addresses use sprinklers only before 9:00 AM or after 6:00 PM on Sundays & Thursdays
✅For odd numbered addresses use sprinklers only before 9:00 AM or after 6:00 PM on Saturdays & Tuesdays
✅Micro/Drip irrigation or hose with shut-off nozzle = okay any day, any time

✅Skip watering hard surfaces like driveways

Short summer showers won’t refill our reservoirs—but every drop of conservation helps.

🌱Let’s water wisely today, so we’re not parched tomorrow. For ideas on how to make water work for you, check out the Okanagan Basin Water Board’s Make Water Work campaign.
