𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 and the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit have been generously donating 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (RAP) from their Highway 97 project — and they continue to deliver this valuable material at no cost to several key locations across Summerland.
The whole community benefits from these contributions, which represent a huge amount of savings. We extend our sincere thanks for this ongoing support.
This recycled material is already making a difference:

Gravel-base upgrades on Matsu Drive

Enhancements to the Badminton Club parking lot

Upcoming upgrades at 9322 Prairie Valley Road (parking lot across from the Gas Station)
Ongoing work at the end of Garnet Valley Road to boost surface stability
Looking ahead, we’ll be using more of this RAP to upgrade high-traffic areas at the landfill — reducing dust, cutting down maintenance needs, and creating longer-lasting surfaces.
These efforts will result in longer-lasting surfaces and lower maintenance costs—an efficient and environmentally responsible way to enhance our infrastructure.
Thank you again, Peters Bros. Paving and the Ministry of Transportation and Transit — your partnership helps make Summerland better for everyone.
