The Summerland Sanitary Landfill has many options for diversion of Demolition, Construction, and Renovation materials. In order to encourage proper separation, these items are accepted at a much lower cost then mixed Demolition, Construction and/or Renovation waste.
Residents with Demolition, Construction, and Renovation material that is not diverted effectively will be subject to a charge of $200.00 up to 500kg or $500.00 for waste over 500kg. There is a mandatory minimum charge of $10.00 for small amounts of Demolition, Construction and Renovation waste.
