Public Chargers
The District of Summerland currently has 26 public electric vehicle chargers across five charging station locations. With 6 level 3 chargers and 20 level 2 charging stations, EV car owners have a number of ways to charge up while visiting Summerland, or for residents accessing our great parks and downtown shopping.

2024 Best of Penticton Winners!
The District of Summerland is proud to announce the Memorial Park EV Charging stations won the Bronze medal for the Best of Penticton Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations. Residential Chargers
The Building Bylaw include provisions for new single family homes to include level 2 EV charging stations, as well as multi-unit dwellings with requirements for EV charging provisions. See Section 24.8 here.
The District does not currently offer incentives or other rebates for the installation or upgrade of residential EV charging infrastructure. However FortisBC does provide rebates for residential and Multi-Unit Residential Buildings, which can be found here
