Water Advisory Committee

The Water Advisory Committee makes recommendations to Council with respect to the quality and quantity of Summerland’s water supply. The Committee also makes recommendations on issues regarding the most efficient, effective use of irrigation water. The committee will be looking at agricultural irrigation scheduling, potential development of a lake source of water, the impact of activities in our watershed, water conservation, and other matters referred to the Committee by Council. The membership is comprised of five members of the agricultural community, five members of the community at large and one member of Council. Meetings of the Water Advisory Committee are open to the public.
