The District of Summerland will be offering an additional Unlimited Yard Waste Pickup as many leaves had not yet fallen prior to the regularly scheduled Unlimited Yard Waste event. The dates for this event will be on your regularly scheduled curbside collection day of the week during the week of November 29 to December 2.
1. Fill your Green Yard & Garden Wast Cart and put it out for collection.
2. Place additional Yard & Garden Waste out beside your cart for collection as follows:
- In "kraft style" yard waste paper bags. Paper bags that are overfilled, ripped, or heavily saturated will not be collected.
- In any container that is clearly marked as "yard waste only", free labels can be picked up from the Cashier at Municipal Hall, has a volume capacity of 95 Litres or less and a maximum weight of 25 kg.
- Bundle branches, 5 centimetres in diameter and under, with string or twine. Bundles must be less than 1 metre long and weigh less than 25 kg.
- Materials must be placed out for collection by 7:00am on your regular collection day.
Please note that a separate truck will be collecting Yard & Garden Waste by dusk on your regular collection day.
