Prohibited Waste

Prohibited waste cannot be collected in your curbside collection carts. In order to determine if your prohibited waste is accepted at the Summerland Sanitary Landfill, these materials must be prepared for drop-off before entry. 

Examples of Prohibited Waste:

• Agricultural/Industrial Tires 
• Dead animals 
• Rocks and gravel 
• Paints, solvents (aside from household)
• Pesticides (aside from household)
• Gasoline 
• Needles/syringes 
• Biomedical waste
