Paper Packaging & Cardboard 

Paper Packaging & Cardboard may be returned for recycling, free of charge, to the Summerland Landfill & Recycling Depot. Materials must be clean and dry, and sorted and separated into the proper bins and not mixed into other containers.

Accepted Materials:

• Paper 
  • Newspapers; 
  • Magazines and catalogues; 
  • Telephone directories; 
  • Envelopes; and 
  • Shredded paper (put in paper bag or cardboard box).

• Paper Packaging for Dry Goods 
  • Cardboard and boxboard;
  • Carrier boxes for soft drinks; 
  • Cores for paper towel and toilet paper;
  • Moulded boxboard packaging for egg cartons; and 
  • Paper bags (single and multi-layer).
