Foam Packaging (Recycling Depot Only)
White and coloured polystyrene foam packaging can be returned for recycling, free of charge, to the Summerland Landfill Recycling Depot. White and coloured foam packaging to be clean, dry and sorted and placed in designated bins.
Accepted Material
- trays for meat, produce, etc.
- foam egg cartons
- take-out containers, cups, and bowls
- cushion packaging for electronics, small appliances, etc.
Unaccepted Materials
- absorbent liners from trays belong in garbage
- labels, tape, paper or cardboard from packaging
- foam peanuts and chips for packing
- napkins or cutlery
- blue or pink insulation board
- squishy or flexible foam
- furniture cushions
