A Lakeshore Walkway is currently being constructed by Cantex-Okanagan Construction Ltd. This project has been approved for funding through the Regional Significant Projects Gas Tax Rebate Program.

The walkway starts at the bottom of Peach Orchard Rd and connects the Millennium Park Pavilion, Water Park, Dog Beach, and Rotary Beach to the nature boardwalk at the Summerland Resort. The Pathway effectively links the newly expanded Kin Beach park space on Lakeshore Dr to the Downtown core via Lakeshore Rd, the Centennial Pathway or Peach Orchard Rd widening, with a safer corridor for pedestrians.

The asphalt portion of the walkway will be 3 meters wide and have decorative stamped and colored asphalt along both sides. There will be a portion paved with rock hard surfacing south of the Racquets Club. The project also includes pedestrian lighting, protective traffic barriers and trees.
